Hole in One

Today was a pretty exciting day on the golf course. We had a foursome playing at Castle Hills in Carrollton. The temps were high & there was not much of a breeze to tell you how we were surviving - with wet towels dipped in ice water. We were nearing the end on a par 3 -hole number 16. Jorji, Terri, Carolyn and I were all trying to get another par. Carolyn got up and hit (thinking that she was about to quit, as she had not been playing too well the last few holes), and had a hole in one. She swung a 6 iron and the distance was 117 yds. The two guys behind us, were witnesses, as well as one of the guys ahead of us. It had a nice landing & rolled right into the hole. It was great to witness, as I have never had one. Odds are about 1 in 3500 of getting a hole in one. Anyway, it was awesome and gave us plenty of conversation for the remainder of the game & lunch afterwards. NEVER - NEVER GIVE UP is the moral here. :) What a happy day for Carolyn.
