Becoming a Grandmother

My oldest child, Shannon, and her husband, Casey Flanigan, are expecting their first baby (girl). When I first heard that I was going to be a grandmother, it was an exciting, overwhelming feeling. Each time I see Shannon and how much she has blossomed, it becomes more and more exciting. I have heard for years from alot of my friends that becoming a grandparent is the best. They say there is nothing like it, and I know that I am in for a most awesome experience of a type of love that only a grandparent can explain. I cannot imagine loving anyone more then I love my own children, but I know this will be an entirely different feeling and I am ready to get on the grandmother train for a ride of hopefully many yet to follow. Life is full circle and this is what makes you feel that you have fulfilled your dreams and happiness. I know that everyone in the family is excited, and that Jessi, Josh, & Casey will be great Aunt & Uncles, until they become parents one day as well. I pray for good health, happiness and longevity so that I may spoil grandchildren and enjoy watching them grow through their years, as their parents raise them with good morals and confidence in whatever they choose to be.
