4 of us were the St. Kitts foursome from last summer & this summer our dear retired friend, Judy Smith, from North Carolina joined us for lots of fun.
CJ & I went in two days ahead to do some diving since the others do not dive. Then we all snorkeled a couple times during the week. Very relaxing vacation. It has been nearly a month since we returned & I am still on vacation mode.
This was our view straight out from our 3rd floor balcony. Beautiful!! There were 7 pools here & I think we used 3-4 of them.
Santa Maria snorkeling excursion, but there were not that many fish. We did much better on our own, below, at Chilleno Bay. But no one tells you this in Cabo, so check out Chilleno Bay by car when you go. Best ever.
Chilleno Bay was the best snorkeling. We drove there & snorkeled for a couple of hours. Still have to develop the photos, but they will be colorful. Lots of fish.
Beverly in the middle & Judy on the right. Judy left the surgery center & retired about 5 years back. Bev & I still work together & it was Bev & Bob's timeshare that we used in Cabo for the 7 days at Pueblo Bonito Sunset above. We had a blast.
The most beautiful fish of all.
Only saw a couple of these, very large & beautiful.
This lobster has a guest. Really big lobster & I enjoyed a couple of these while I was in Cabo. Yummie!!!
This is the most amazing photo of all, as it is an octupus. Look center of the photo & you will see an eyeball & the pouch with tenacles is above. He was hiding & the divemaster stuck the camera in & got this photo. I think this diver knows where these little guys live from diving these waters daily. I made this my screensaver as it is such a great photo. Not too many divers will have one of these snaps.
A lot of little rays everywhere. Some were really blending in with the ocean floor.
The second dive was much clearer & more enjoyable. We were at a depth of 40-50ft. mostly. I hit 60 ft. a couple of times during the 2nd dive.
The divemaster must have known this eel, as he was not afraid to touch him. I am guessing since they dive these waters several times weekly that they may have a friendship & understanding. I was happy to watch.
Lots of large eels but nothing compared to the Octupus.
Quinn was one of our dive buddies from California. Alot of fun & safe diver. On the 2nd dive, he was my dive buddy, as CJ was seasick. Alot of boat movement on the pacific.
This seahorse is awesome & the dive master pointed this out to us. Very very tiny, but he got a great pic. Can you see him??? His head is right in front of his thumb. They are such delicate sea creatures.
