Family Christmas Gathering

Our family Christmas was especially wonderful this year, with Morgan Paige Flanigan in our lives. She was awake for about half of the 7 hrs. on Christmas Eve at my home. There were 9 of us including Morgan, and although we do not get everyone together under one roof too often, we make up for it when we do. Everyone waiting for their moment to get into conversations and everyone taking turns with Morgan for photos and holding her.

Casey Flanigan catered our dinner and it was absolutely fabulous!!! Turducken and Stuffed Flank Steak were the entrees and the spinach salad dressed up with Arugula & goat cheese, pine nuts & orange balsamic glaze was a delight in itself. Too many appetizers & sides to mention, but I think you get the drift here and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Casey's Dad & Joi were supposed to arrive on Christmas Eve afternoon from California, but their plane was grounded prior to take off and they did not make it for our Christmas dinner. That was our disappointment of the year, and I know they will eventually get her to meet their granddaughter, so we are anticipating that date in the near future.

What a great thing it is to be a Nanna (MAE). I cannot wait to get her this coming Sat. for another day of spoiling her and watching her doing new things each week.
